I’m Rachel a mother of 3 living in Ireland. I have always had a love for art and being creative. I have found it a great escapism a way to relax to be present, it anchors me. When life and motherhood have gotten in the way I have adapted how I show my creative side.
Throughout my life I have had to over come many challenges and with each new challenge I have discovered something new within myself. I have found the power of resilience, hope, kindness, gratitude , trust and much more. I also have been lucky and grateful to have received it from others.
I started these sketches to symbolize the strong influence that women have had on my life. I have been surrounded by the most incredible women, from my mother, to my aunt, my siblings, my Grandmother, my daughters and of course my girl pals. I have been so lucky to know and love such amazing, supportive women. I am a strong believer that when women get behind women, there is nothing we can’t accomplish. When women come together, we are a force to be reckoned with. Holding our hands when things get tough, showing us love and compassion, making us laugh out loud! We all know those women. You are one of these women. You love those women. They are your mother, your sister, your daughter, your Gran, your friends. Women are amazing .
